Keegan Bradley’s Putting Tweaks Show Promise Ahead of Quail Hollow

Keegan Bradley is no stranger to the spotlight, but his recent putting struggles have been hard to ignore. Known for making frequent changes to his technique over the years, Bradley’s quest for improvement reached a new chapter after a recent session with noted putting coach Phil Kenyon. And the early signs suggest that change might be paying off just in time for one of the biggest stages in golf.

Finding Confidence on the Greens

Bradley didn’t sugarcoat his earlier struggles, admitting, “The putting hasn’t been what I’ve had over the last couple years.” Working with Kenyon last week, however, gave him a new perspective. The result? A small tweak to his routine has him feeling “a lot better over the ball.” For Bradley, putting success is often about finding confidence and comfort, and it seems like he’s on the right track.

A History of Adjustments

Keegan’s putting has been a storyline throughout his career. From belly putters to arm-lock styles and now his current setup, Bradley has experimented with it all. These adjustments haven’t just been about performance, either. Rule changes banning anchored putters forced him to adapt and evolve, mirroring his determined approach to the game.

His collaboration with Kenyon since 2021 has helped refine both his technique and his mindset, and it seems those efforts are paying dividends. Bradley’s sensational front-nine score of 29 at the Arnold Palmer Invitational in 2025 stands as a testament to his ability to rise to the occasion when things click.

What’s Next for Bradley?

Headed into the PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, Bradley knows the focus will be on whether his recent adjustments can hold up under pressure. “For me, it’s always a matter of if those putts are going in,” Bradley explained. With his added responsibility as U.S. Ryder Cup captain, the stakes feel even higher, as his performance sets a tone for the players he’ll eventually lead.

Observers and fans alike will be watching to see whether this overhaul can deliver consistent results. With a refreshed sense of confidence and some standout rounds already under his belt this season, Bradley might just be finding his form at the perfect time.

Golf is all about timing, and for Keegan Bradley, the pieces are starting to align. Only time will tell if this new chapter of his putting story will include a major victory at Quail Hollow.
